Hi, I'm Gemma.

I originally trained as an occupational therapist and worked within various mental health settings, with adults experiencing mental distress, survivors of childhood trauma and clients with neurological disorders.

My journey as a Counsellor

It was during my work in these settings that I began to think how clients could be encouraged and empowered to find their own solutions. I have completed my counsellor training and am a BACP registered counsellor.

My counselling style.

The theoretical model I use is Transactional Analysis; this works with the internal Parent, Adult and Child which we all carry within us. These continue to affect the way we think, feel and behave.

I believe that every individual has the ability to find the answers right for them. This includes overcoming past experiences and the opportunity to plan for a brighter future.

My interest in Internet counselling came from wanting to contact clients who were unable to access traditional services. I have completed specialist training in this area and now teach on similar courses.
